Galatians 5:7-8 (KJV): “You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth? The persuasion comes not of Him Who calls.”
Galatians 5:7-8 (Msg): “You were running superbly! Who cut in on you, deflecting you from the true course of obedience? This detour doesn’t come from the One who called you into the race in the first place.” Background: This passage of scripture is dealing in true context and content, with the issue of false teaching in the church that Apostle Paul was dealing with in Galatia. False doctrine was introduced to the Galatians in an attempt to turn men’s heart away from the Cross, in an effort for men to trust in other means of gaining their salvation. My Revelation: And as I read, my thoughts traveled to the question of ‘who done it’ and ‘what was done’. How, at this point, I wished that I could have found some justifiable means to point a logical ‘they did it’ finger at the perpetrators. Put the blame on some cause, issue, or circumstance or someone. But I must reveal the culprit—it was me, myself, and I! The Spirit which leads us into all truth showed me my own falling away from the course of obedience. I had become unfocused, frightened, tired, frustrated, disappointed and unsettled, all in the midst of God moving mighty in every area of my life at this time. What! You have got to be kidding! How could this possibly happen…Had I once again fallen prey to the obvious of me taking my mind off of Himpossible and getting caught up in Mepossible? I had actually thought that the turns in my life had something to do with me being in control until I was pulled into a “pit” stop by the Master Controller of my life to remind me again, “IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU, BUT ABOUT GOD AND HIS GLORY.” John 9:1-3 (Msg): “Walking down the street Jesus saw a blind man from birth. His disciples asked, “Rabi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?” Jesus said, “You’re asking the wrong question. You are looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause effect here. Look instead for what God can do.” John 9:3 (KJV): “Jesus answered, neither has this man sinned nor his parents but that the works of God should be made manifest in Him.” To God Be All the Glory. Focal Point: Even in the trying moments stop taking the credit for what you think is the cause of everything going on in your life, as if you are in control. Prayer: Lord Jesus help me to remember, that I am not in control, of my life, everything has already been planned and positioned according to your purpose; all for your “GLORY.”
