23)This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. (24) This is the
day that the Lord hath made; we rejoice and be glad in it.
Today is a marvelous day because...we are here. In the midst of what may be happening in your space of life, today is your day to rejoice. The psalmist declares in no uncertain terms that whatever may be your circumstance--trial, situation, trouble, issue; it is of the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. We are asked today to change the way we look at our surroundings. Change our perception.
Now, I will be the first to admit that it is easier said than done, simply because when the storms of life are raging around you, and the billows cease to roll; you are asked to, required to, act like everything is rosy, and there is nothing wrong.
The key to this matter is this: It is the Lord's doing. Surely, we must know and believe that our Heavenly Father, our God knows exactly what He is doing and He knows what is best for us. We are admonished to rejoice because He brought us through yesterday, although the same stuff was going on. And He is able to bring us through today. The problem is really not the problem. The real issue is our perception of the problem.
Wherever you are today...stop, stand still, and declare, no matter what may be your plight today, let this day be a day of rejoicing for you! God is on your side. Look at it this way--don't see it from the view of where you are standing, but lift up your head, open up the eyes of your heart ,and see the beauty of God from the mountain top! Rejoice because it is the Lord's doing. It is His day!
The eagle has the strength to soar to the highest height and stare into the rays of the sun. It gains unimaginable strength and glides through the changes of natural climate. The sun does not blind the eagle but helps him to see better. Stare into the eyes of the "SON" and gain the strength to go forward this day! In the Spirit of clarity, all is well. It is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Rejoice!
