![]() Genesis 9:16-17: And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth'...and God said unto Noah' This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. When God, in all His own greatness, put everything in place-- finished His work, He declared from the beginning that it was all good (Genesis 1-2). There was nothing that could be in agreement with him except the 'let us' who were present at the beginning of the creation story. To make a long story short, (read Genesis 1-3), God's most treasured creation grieved His heart. Adam and Eve made the decision because of their choice--on behalf of all mankind, to disobey God and create the problems we are now facing in this present world. When the constant pressures of just mere life, which at times are and can be so trying, fall upon you and the weight feels like a ton of bricks; you look up and state--in a matter of fact, "where is the rainbow?" Sometimes the rain comes in such a downpour that the flood waters rise as if you are going to drown. But then, remember why the flood waters came in the first place. It was because of mans sin and disobedience that God decided to let the floods come and wiped out mankind. But again say now with a loud cry to our God "where is the rainbow covenant of promise? Oh, God let us see the rainbow. We need to see, I need to see the rays of beautiful hues of colors, that promised me, as you remember the covenant that you made with yourself, that we will not die now but shall live and declare your glory. I'm thankful God, you promised yourself what you would do, because you knew what we would do. You chose that we should be spared so that we could repent of our wicked ways. As the bow in the sky in all its splendor showed the radiance of your love; you sent your Son to bow in humble service to show us your love so that we may have forgiveness of sins and serve you and worship you in Spirit and in Truth. Thank you Father, for looking beyond our faults and weaknesses and seeing our need. Thank you for being a promise keeper(covenant). Thank you for the rainbow, Jesus, which covers us with His precious blood. " Shalom
